Regular loop with Laureen. Snowing lightly with snow on the ground. Temperature quite comfortable.

Right now I'm just trying to maintain a basic level of endurance and enjoy some time running with my wife. My goal is to get in about 35 miles a week, with one tempo run and one longer run (10+). After the first of the year I'm planning to start increasing mileage and intensity for a spring marathon (Boston, if we can swing it; Ogden, if we can't).

Thanks for your comment re: my father's health. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. It won't be long before our children are blogging about our health...that circle of life thing. I'm with you about not sitting around waiting for the end.

My mileage has been down lower than I would like the last few weeks. I admire your consistency in getting out. I envy you running with Laureen. I don't think I'll ever be able to convince Karen to run with me...but I haven't given up completely.

Boston isn't looking good for me (too expensive). Ogden in May sounds interesting. The Salt Lake City Marathon moved back to April, but it's on Karen's birthday in 2007 so it will have to wait.

If you'd like to get together for a long run one of these Saturday's let me know. It would be good to run with you again. I promise I'll try to keep up.
