One of my all-time favorite runs. Dogs were out en force.

I'm glad that I now know what this loop is all about. Beautiful colors and views up there, which your pictures are showing. You've had a good, tough week from speedwork to races to loads of vert. Nice going! Any ultra plans this year?

Thanks Neasts--you really must do this! Nothing set yet. Bear? Pony? Just playing it by ear and having fun.

Slightly better than the view off the treadmill. :)
Love to give you a tour if/when you make it out here. Youd love it.

How long would that tour take, kid? This doesn't seem like a 15 minute trip! Then there's the whole issue of transporting human head-sized pine cones back to Florida!...
I might take you up on this some day. It really is pretty country out there.

Tom: Good news! There'll be plenty of room in your carry-on for the pine cones. They're only about 3"-4" tall. Messy though, full of sap. That whole tree stood a whooping 6-7 ft tall.
What was interesting about them was that they're charcoal grey or black in color--cute little guys.
