Met with Heidi C for 4 quick miles.  Wind was pretty harsh and it was only about 17 degrees, but Hey, we got out!!

Due to the distinct challenge I received to do Strength training while Heidi W was gone, Heidi C and I met up to do some this morning.  I know I have said how much I enjoy doing this in previous posts, but in case anyone missed it, I AM REALLY ENJOYING STRENGTH TRAINING.  It is so much fun to work muscles in areas I haven't for a very long time.  And, I can feel the workout the entire day and well into the next day as well, so that is a nice feeling.  I am also always grateful to the girls who are willing to come over to my house to workout with me :)

Another round of Strength training with Heidi C. Yes, Heidi W, I did it, I met your challenge and did strength training while you were gone, YAY!!!  We have missed you and are excited to have you back home, but are proud that we stuck to our plan and did this workout twice while you were gone, bomb diggity!

Met with Mac, Ali and Michelle to run this morning.  Michelle had just gotten back from Paris late the night before so for a split second I wondered if she would make it, then quickly realized that it was Michelle I was talking about, and knew she would be there.  Mac and Ali had met a half an hour earlier and already had a few miles under their belt and when we were done, Michelle kept going to get a total of 10 miles in for the day (I believe it was 10) so I was the lazy one of the day, but still glad that I got out and ran with all of them.  I had a really good time running with these girls and we had a lot of random conversations that I thoroughly enjoyed.  I look forward to the next time :)

So, Tyler and I met up with Kellie Barney this morning who is in town for Christmas, to go for a run.  Kellie is from the same town that I grew up in and has ran since she could walk, I think.  She has been a huge example to me in the running department and so I really looked forward to running with her today.  She currently lives in Indiana with her husband and kids while her hubby finishes school specializing as a "root canal" dentist.  I think it is called endodontics, but I have no idea on the spelling or anything so I think "root canal" dentist explains it, right?  Anyway, we met up with her, started running and got about 2 miles into our run when we ran into Michelle, Hal, Steven and Travis. So Michelle and Travis came along with us for the rest of the route.  The weather was perfect today for running but I struggle with the slushy gunk that in on the road  (I am sure you are all impressed with my terminology here).  I guess it's not "that" bad, just keeps you light on your feet :). It was a great morning and so fun to see Kellie again.  I hope I get to run with her again while she is here during Christmas.
