AM- 3 miles E. PM- 3x1600 @ 5:02. I didn't do the 3200m repeat like mike and byron because coach wanted me to hit my time. First one I felt great and I felt soo strong (5:01). The second one I could feel the heat (it was 97*F) and I slowed down too much on the second lap and the gap between me and mike grew. (5:13) The last one was way too slow the first lap was fast enough 1:11 ish and I thought I'd bring it back together but I thought about it too much and slowed down. (5:21) Overall- I was happy to see that I could even hit the time but I was disappointed I didn't do it for all of them because I think I could have. I have been thinking way too much during workouts lately and I've done my best when I've just shut up my brain and just ran what I was suppose to, because my body knows how to run certain paces and can do it. |
