AM- 3 miles E. PM- 10x400m (1:06-1:07's) w/ descending recovery (after 1st 3- 1:15, after 4&5- 1:00, after 6&7- 45 sec., after 8&9- 30 sec. I ran the first one too fast because I jogged the last ten meters and still got a 1:05. The next four were right on (1:07). The 6th/7th one I was about 2 seconds off and I could feel my legs getting tired. (1:09). the 8th I could feel the shorter recoveries getting to me mentally (1:09), so I picked it up the first 200m and hit it right on (1:07). The last one I was dead from the 30 second recovery (holy cow it went by soo fast!!) and I finished with a 1:09. Overall- I was really pleased especially since I didn't feel good going into this (from slight sickness) and really not taking care of my body through stretching, rolling, icing, and hydrating. I felt super tired/fatigued, but I didn't give up which was good! |
