| I did a speed workout with my mom today. We did a warmup and then I did 1 mile in 6:40, 2 miles in 13:45, and then 800s in 2:59 and 2:56. It was a decent effort but not too bad, so this was nice. Now the goal is to maintain a buildup while working in some sort of speedwork. | |

| 7 miles in the morning. 2 to Kiwanis, 3 around Kiwanis and then 2 back. I started at about 8:05 pace and then finished around 7:20 for the last couple. I also biked 6 miles today (that will be happening every weekday, so I may not mention it everyday).

| I went 20 miles total. 16 was with my mom and then the last 4 were a bit faster--6:45, 6:47, 6:53 and 7:10. The first two of the 4 were more downhill than the last couple. I felt good about the pace for the finish of the run at this stage.

| Five miles pretty easy, but I did go in the afternoon, so it was pretty warm. I felt pretty good considering I did a 20 miler yesterday. My goal now is to build a little bit more over the next couple weeks and try to avoid any injuries, which I've been fortunate to have avoided this year so far. |
