I went with a run with Zach around Riverside before we spent the rest of the day moving in. It was pretty warm in Riverside (something I'm okay with), but I'll probably do more training in the early hours.  The Cumuluses have felt better lately, which is nice.

Back in Provo (not enough sleep last night).  We went park hopping today for a total of 6 miles.  I'm feeling good and would like to get more consistent miles in the future.

I went on a similar run as yesterday--going from park to park and then ran about 1.5 miles at Kiwanis (a little over a mile barefoot).  I now remember how I was able to run 60-70 mile weeks--it's all about running on grass and just having a good time.  Here's to higher miles from here on out!

No running today since our new baby, Nathan, was born at 3:43 in the morning.  He came a few weeks early, so we weren't quite ready, but he's been healthy and we're happy to have him with us.  This has been my best week of training for quite a while, which owes as much to my recent lack of quality training as it does to the quality of this week.  But we're moving up!

I went 10 miles up around Provo Canyon, some going up, and some going down.  It was fun to see the winner of the Half-marathon (I think Jeff, who runs with Sasha), and to run with the race for some of it.  I'm getting to be in better shape (of course that's relative) with some consistency with miles over the last while.  Now I just want to keep building and then keep a base of at least 40 from here on out.  I think that would help me to avoid injuries and to run faster times.  It's been a long time since I have put in a consistent stretch of higher miles, and I'd like to see what would happen if I could put in a few years of consistent training, even if it's not always the highest mileage.  I think with a few years of 40-60 miles per week I could really run some good times.  With that, I'm planning on consistently running on grass and throwing in more speed and hills in order to get a faster top speed.  I've always had good endurance and decent speed, but if I could get more comfortable running a faster pace (in the 4-5 minute per mile range), I think that would allow me to run some solid times.
