20 miles up/down Provo Canyon with my husband, Brent. I was worried about the run when we started because my quad hurt me so much yesterday. I only had minimal pain off and on going up. Coming 3 miles down South Fork after we turned around it felt disproportionately tired to the rest of my body, like the quad was on mile 20-23 when the rest of me was only on 10-13 miles.
I took it easy coming down South Fork, which felt really good. I told my husband, "Sometimes I feel like I'm going for a ride in my body when I'm running."
Fortuneately the tiredness in my quad didn't get any worse and the pain even lessened further down the path. By the last two miles the rest of my body seemed about as tired as my quad. My avg up 7:31 pace, down 6:49, total avgt 7:10 pace. |
