Long-Term Running Goals:

I love to run!  I want to feel good and run for a very long time.

Personal:

My husband Brent and I live in Orem with our three kids ages 12, 10 & 7.  Brent is a Marriage and Family Therapist and I'm at home with the kids.  I used to be a CPA, but now I just do a little bookkeeping from home.  For a lot of years running a marathon was something I did to get back in shape after having a baby.  Just finishing was accomplishment enough, now I want to finish faster.

I ran the St. George Marathon in 3:18 when I was 18 and set a record for my age division 15-18.  Now I train with the girl who broke my record.  I love the marathon and half marathon.   Long runs are what keep me from going crazy.

10 miles with Rebecca.  Warm-up, 5 x 3/4 mile w/ 1/2 mile recovery, cool-down.  First 3 intervals heading up University Ave and into Provo Canyon, last 2 coming down the Canyon.  Paces: 5:57, 6:10, 6:20, 5:55, 5:54.

Felt good on the run, but so tired after lunch.  Took a 2 hour nap.  I sure feel spoiled, being a stay-at-home mom and all, when I have a nap.  Not so much when I spend 2 hours driving everyone everywhere in the late afternoon and another 2 or 3 hours doing homework (I'm in 6th, 4th and 1st grade again.  It's harder this time).

now that my kids are on A track-- I get less time to myself in the afternoon so no time for naps. I think that is why I am fading the last month with the kids schedules--- boom boom boom when they get home.

Woops. I started to write 1200 meters, since that's what I do on the track, but these were on the road so we went 3/4 mile. Only 5.
