Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 28, 20, 14 and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Spring snow, yuk!  At least I don't have to run in it.  My hip doens't feel to bad, just alittle bit of tightness.  I iced throughout the day, stretched, and scrapped it somemore before going to bed.

This week is going to be a recovery week, so the plan is to do around 45 miles and hope that this hip thing clears up so I can race well on saturday.

I went on a weather strike this morning, when I woke up at 5:50 and saw the wind and solid iced over road I refused to go out and run in it.  So I went back to bed.  Unfortunatly I went up to Park City to work during my kids school time so I didn't get a run in.  But that is ok, maybe I will get in a few tonight but if not I am really trying to convince myself that that is allright as well.

Ended up taking Gauge in the jogger around 4pm  went up the jogging path from wills.  Hip felt fine, not 100% but didn't hurt.  Went super slow and didn't feel that great.  Feet and claves where crampy.

Man another crappy run today, but good company. Ran with Jeff and Sasha, and two others came for some of the run as well. Just didn't feel that great, feet and calves cramping again esc. in the left and it went up in the hamstring. I don't know what my problem is, when I was pregnant I use to feel this way on every run but I know for a fact I am not the P word. Hip was there but not bad.

I got beat up by my massage therapist last night,  but that was a good thing.  My legs did feel better today, not great but better.  It is very discouraging to all of the sudden feel sooooo crappy and have little injuries appear.  Sometimes I wish I didn't like to run as much as I do.  But I do know this will pass and my day will come, maybe not now but someday.

Went out with some friends on the canal.  It was super muddy so we went the road back.  I remebered that when I cramped like this when I was pregnant I use to take a magnesium supplement.  So I took some as well as some extra calcuim and I think that is helping.

Really not feeling like I want to go and race on sat. After having 2 bad races in a row and feel horrible this week, why go and torture myself?

Went out and ran with Michelle and MacK in SF.  Was very mild out not a whole lot of wind.  Did fell better today than I have but not great.

I was going to take the day off, and then I thought to myself just an easy 3.   But my legs felt good so I did an easy 5.  I hope the trend continues.

So Yes I am very happy with this race.  I guess the key is to just not care how you do and then the nerves calm down and you race better.

Started out the morning driving up with my sister.  We got lost thanks to googlemap, so I arrived at the start when the last busses were leaving.  I got on to the last bus with people still waiting for the 1st bus to come back down to get them.  I was not going to wait.    So I was alittle frazzled.  Got up to the start and saw all my fastrunningblog friends, warmed up about a half mile and then the race started.  Once again my garmin was not working properly, it keep losing satillite.  So I fool with it to turn off the auto pause.  So my first 3 splits I don't have.  And I never really knew my running time the whole race,  I assumed I was about 3 mins. off,  which it turns out it was 2:36 off.

Really pleased with this,  it is a 6 min. pr in this race.  Hip is a little sore.  Cooled down with everyone about 2 miles.
