1st place overall womans in Spanish fork 1/2 marathon, Tristate 1/2 marathon, Death Valley 1/2 marathon, and the Utah Valley marathon (4-12-08)

Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 28, 20, 14 and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Treadmill run, roads were slick so I didn't want to tempo outside. 3 mile up 5 mile tempo@6:58 pace struggled a little was tired then finished up to 10.

I got 2 new pairs of Hoka's in the mail for my bday and both pairs are way to narrow for my feet:( so I guess I'll have to send them back, I was so excited for new shoes. Ran with Rebecca some hills dropped her off and did 12 strides still don't feel 100% but better than yesterday.  7:58 avg pace

Long runs have been a struggle for me lately. That being said I still got out there and ran 19.5 miles at an 8:00 avg so I should not complain. Today's run was in memory of Meg, she was hit and killed  last year running. I feel lucky to be able to run even if it was hard. First part was with Rebecca then we picked up Janae and ran some more then we dropped off Rebecca and ran up the canyon then I dropped off Janae and had 1/2 mile to make it 18 some how in my tired stuper I did 2 more.
