Wife and 2 oldest kids are at Disney World for the weekend, so I'm home with 3 younger kids. No chance to run. I did take my son to see Monster Jam, so that was fun.

How was Monster Jam? Never been and I'm thinking I'll take my kids next month.

We've been three times and enjoy it. My boy is 7 now and simply loves it. It's fairly inexpensive, at least for our arena.

Just bought tickets...my kids are beyond excited. Was yours indoors and if so, do you recommend ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones?

The Monster Jams I've attended were all at an indoor basketball arena. We took some of the orange foam ear plugs and there were adequate. I don't think you need to go as far as noise cancelling headphones. You will see some kids with ear muffs (monster jam style). It's loud, but not nonstop.

We took our sons to Monster Jam years ago in the stadium where the Bucs play. Walking around and seeing the other stuff before the show is almost better than the show. The RC monster trucks, the motorcycles in the globe, seeing the trucks up close, all that stuff. You will want to reduce the sound. The Monster Jam headphones that are super cool and look like truck tires will squeeze your kid's head. They are crazy tight, or my kids have unusually large heads.
