Here a great article from someone who voted Obama last election, but now will be voting Ron Paul in 2012.  Very short, thoughtful read.

Lunch- 10

PM- A local high school student asked me to help him break out of his 7-min pace he runs every day, even in his cross country races.  After some warmup, we ran a 6 min mile over very hilly terrain, then a 6:40.  Then we did some sprints, 100-300 yards, very fast (4:00ish pace).  7 miles total.

You know, many high school coaches aren't full time teachers at the school where they coach. I coached high school xc for 6 years in Greenville and I can tell you that there definitely is a lack of knowledge among the coaches...

I know you have a job and all but coaching is a lot of fun and very rewarding.

I'ts not just the media that feels threatened, it's anyone who works for or depends on government money for their livelihood.. By the way I read an interesting article on how the DOE wasted half a billion in loan guarantee money to a now bankrupt solar panel company. Nice huh.. All the more reason to vote for Ron Paul. He's got my vote for sure and I don't care if it does take away votes from the Republicans as they are just as corrupt as the dems..

Rob- I've thought many times about coaching. I think it would be a blast. Time consuming, yes, but rewarding. However, my job just does not permit it right now. Maybe sometime in the future, though- I'd love to do it. And I really think I could help the kids meet their potential. Here's hoping.

Steve- yup, good point. Not really much diff between most Rep and Dem candidates these days, except on a few small points, despite what the media tells us. All want bigger govt, more debt.

But if you coached for a public school you would be receiving "government money".

I won't tell Steve if you don't :)
