AM- Met Jim, Hot Dan, and Roundhouse Rob in Simpsonville. 13 miles down into Fountain Inn and back, then some more with Jim at the end. Legs were definitely telling me they aren't use to this mileage. But I achieved my "kick myself in shape goal" of 40-60-80-100 miles. Slightly exceeds the 10% rule... Now an easy week before 120 mile at Hardrock in a week.

I don't think the 10% rule really applies to a runner at your level :-)

Have fun in Colorado. Hard to beat the San Juans.

I was thinking the same thing... It's more of a guideline!

I think it's not a bad guideline if you're going higher than you've been. But when you're just building back to where you routinely train, just run like normal.

Make sure you spend some time on your roof so you're ready for the altitude.
