I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I was at Kennedy Space Center to watch the shuttle launch, which was an amazing experience.  A few hours before the launch, I ran 10 miles.  5 of the miles were on deserted roads on the base that had water filled canals on both sides, with alligators all over.  It sure made my heart beat faster the whole time to hear strange noises and keep jumping.  When you are running 20 feet away from an 8-10 foot long alligator with nothing between you and him, it lets you know you are alive and makes the run anything but just another training run.  And, once again, the shuttle launch was awesome.

I have run in bear country before but never anything quite like that. That is pretty cool that you get to be around when they launch the shuttles. When are you coming back to Logan?

I just got back today. I am doing a 20 miler this evening. I leave again on Tuesday for Alabama, getting back midnight on Friday. I may run the Clarkson Gunsight Gallop on Saturday.

From James on Sun, Jun 10, 2007 at 17:35:14

If you are doing the Gunsight Gallop I won't come and show you up. Just kidding! We will have to go on that loop Paul and I did again, I loved it, but it was a bugger of a run.

Oh, I would love to ply Ultimate again when you are there, and I am sure Paul would come too.

When is your wasatch steeple chase?

From Jon on Tue, Jun 12, 2007 at 00:23:26

Ultimate is every Tue and Thur at 7 pm, Sat at 10 am.

Steeplechase is same day as WBR, so I won't be doing it. Maybe another year.

Yeah, I want to do Ephraim again.
