5AM: Treadmill at gym before work - started at 7mph ended at 8.5mph.  Practiced with Clif Shot Gel after 30 minutes of easy run - since IMM will have these provided on course.  They are actually an improvement over GU (tastewise) in my humble opinion.  6mi. easy - 44:45.

All kinds of new shoes added to the inventory - time to retire a bunch off of my active shoe log :)

What shoes are you wearing for the marathon?

From joebell1981 on Thu, Oct 24, 2013 at 16:45:35 from 99.39.133.24

Glycerine 11's. They're heavy, but, so am I :)

There's alot of concrete on this course, if i remember correctly

Not running to work these days? :)

From Jason D on Thu, Oct 24, 2013 at 19:12:11 from 24.1.80.94

Heavy? Next weekend, be aware that it is me in the Newton singlet, not Shrek. And I promise not to eat anyone :)

I don't remember much concrete, but the Midwest does love its 'crete. And sometimes it is hard to tell.

Too funny, Jason ! :).

Hey, Nathan :). did it twice - That's a tough run! fairly hilly and a little scary with traffic. How was the cruise ship training? :)

From FREYGUY on Fri, Oct 25, 2013 at 08:35:00 from 184.17.216.55

I only can imagine that it was a little scary, not to mention about 20 miles. The cruise was amazing. Tons of great food. I tried to refrain as much as possible. However, I think I had a desert with every meal. As far as running, there was an apparent wind of 27 mph. I averaged 7:18 mpm for 12 miles which seemed a bit quick for the effort. round and round I went. 30 laps.
