It is a down pour today and not letting up.....So back at the YMCA. I had put off running and was extremely grouchy and finally went after being bugged by my daughter to take her to the Y. My husband and son ended up tagging along which was great, because then I didn't have to worry as much about her. 1% incline
3.5 mile warm up 5.5 miles sub 8:00 min pace 2.5 mile cool down - ended up sprinting the last 3 min which was harder than it should have been. I feel pretty good about this work out, not too sure how it would translate to the road, but I didn't die or really even come close (except the sprint) which is good. It all comes down to getting out of my 8:30 -9:00 min pace comfort zone... I need some faster gals to run with ...... New shoes today, back to the Mizuno wave riders. I haven't worn these for about 2 years and wanted to go back. No hip issues today but my plantars are on fire..lots of stretching, and rolling.
