AM - 9.6 miles. First 4 miles w/ Andrea, then up to work. Easy pace.
Planning to take the afternoon off... so if I type it now, maybe I'll stick to that plan.

You can do it!! Just take a tranquilizer before you leave work and that should do the trick. :)

Just eat a huge meal around 3 pm and you should be able to stick to it

You can do it Jake! The big picture... hey are you running the half on Sat?

that's the plan - the RD offered Andrea and I entries a day ago, so rather than doing another solo workout, I plan to just run as a tempo effort. Plus we've never been to Thanksgiving point and I want to see the dinosaurs!

And who could turn down $1000? I'll look for you! You'll finish long before me, but maybe my goal should be to try and beat Andrea to the finish line(I'm doing the 5K...)

I had to put some serious $$$ into my car on Monday, which is another reason I am running, to be completely honest.
So are you running the 5K at Provo City as well, or the HM there?
From Jake K on Thu, Apr 26, 2012 at 13:04:14 from 155.100.226.54
hopefully you'll beat Andrea to the finish, otherwise she ran way too fast!

Well a little prize money never hurt anyone!
If I race at all it will be the 5k. I am running a small local 5K earlier that week as a tempo run so I'm not sure if it's smart to race 2 days later.

Provo will be a nice fast course, if you are feeling good, I'd say go for it :-)

No way will I be running too fast! I think MP tempo will be about the fastest I can run on Saturday. I guess we'll see you there Melody!

prize money fixes everything in life...brakes, old calculators, etc.

Nice job sticking to your plan. I imagine it's probably harder not to run than it is for you to do a killer interval workout!

You will do great Saturday,I was thinking of using that for a tempo gearing up for Ogden
