Saucony's blog has a couple sneak peeks of some 2014 new releases: Ride 7 and Type A6. Both are exciting updates... I've loved wearing the A6s for my last couple races, and our Utah test group provided a lot of great feedback that went into the final design for the Ride 7. I think everyone will really like the finished product. The design team created some illustrations on the blog that highlight some of the changes that were made.

Love the type A. I just got a new pair of A5s but it'll be hard not to grab the A6 before Boston.

I like how they start the ad with "elite road runners need..." If you're the marketing guy there, you've either alienated 99.9% of runners, or made us hobby joggers feel special, not sure which.

I guess it depends on perspective... but do you really want to buy a racing flat that elite runners WOULDN'T wear? If you were a recreational basketball player, you'd want the same shoes that Lebron James would wear, right? The best equipment allows you to bring out that extra 0.1% of performance. I think of the two perspectives you presented, the second one is the intention.
