AM - 15 miles. Tour de Park City. The Knoxville crew needed a day off from skiing so I headed out for a longer run this morning. I linked together several loops, all of which were very hilly! Felt really good despite the higher altitude and lots of hills. If anything, I'm just a little sore in a couple random spots from chasing Andrea around on skis the last two days... she is a fast bump skier!

I'm definitely more than ready to get back into a "normal" workout schedule next week, but I'm going to try hold off a little longer and only do some light fartlek efforts and strides for a little longer.

PM - 5 miles.

You've had a really nice recovery period. I think it will help. Must have been hard for you to do something so different than in the past. I hope all your little aches and pains go away and you can go full steam ahead for 25k and US Half Champs.

I know I can bounce back quick (and have several times post-marathon), but a portion of that is luck, which doesn't last forever - so I'm hoping that by playing it way safer than I feel like I need to this time, I'll have a smooth road ahead of me the rest of the spring and reduce my chances of any setbacks.

Excellent recover thus far Jake. Andrea has done a good job on keeping ya grounded the last few weeks. You're going to very fresh now. Hope to see ya at the Leopard.

Thanks Spencer.

No Leopards 5K for me, though. That would un-do everything I've been trying to accomplish :-)

I figured some of us might push ya to get out and do a 5k. I hear ya on what you are sticking to. Very good patience. You will the the 25k and half champs because of this recovery. The leopard will be my first real workout since PHX. Hoping to crush 19:41 from last year. excited to get some speed again. Starting to get fun again.

I think you'll crush that!!!
