AM - 13.4 miles. Tanner Park Death Loop w/ Fritz, ACorn, Bryan, and Jon. Usually I only give this route that label the day after a really hard workout or in the middle of a high-mileage cycle, but I feel so out of shape on hills right now so its very much a death loop. Good to run w/ the guys... been a while since we've done that!

Afterwards we rendezvoused w/ the trail running team (Allie, James, Devra) and the Gallowalking team (Andrea, Amiee) for a birthday brunch @ Ruth's.

Happy 26th Birthday to Andrea!

Here's the tentative lineup...

SLC Winter 10K

Striders 1/2

Holladay Mile

UVM + 1/2

Murray Fun Days 5K

Draper Days 5K

Alta 8K

TOU 1/2

Wildcat 1/2

TOU

Hot Pursuit 5K

That's 11 races, I think we'll probably add 2 more. Still waiting to hear from SLC, Des News, Lavender Days. Thanksgiving Point would be in, but they are doing construction on their gardens so certifying a course might be impossible.

It was a good banquet... small though... next year we're going to blow it up and make it a lot bigger!

We tried to get it more geographically spread out - right now its 4 races north of SLC, 6 in SLC and 1 in Utah County. If anything, we need more Utah Co races, but Run13 doesn't want to put any of their races on the schedule. I'd love to get another 5K or 10K up in the Ogden area, but I don't know of anything I'm missing.

Sounds like a great day of running and friends!

The Tanner Park Death Loop sounds like an appropriate name.

Hey Jake, No Manchester Road Race (CT) on Thanksgiving Day for 2013? Be sure to let me know if you ever run a CT race! I read ACorn's blog from today. But you helped me a bit by outlining why it is considered a "death loop." Thanks. As always, hope all well with you and family. Talk to you soon.

I don't get why run13 doesn't want to be put on the schedule? Oh well.

Andreas sweatshirt is pretty funny. I'm positive Allie spent the last 3 months knitting it up :)

I have no idea Lily. I've reached out to them numerous times, but haven't ever heard back from anyone there. They were on it 2 years ago, but apparently don't want to do it anymore. They have good races so it would be a nice addition, esp for Utah Co people.

PRE - no Manchester this year. I'm going to visit family, but not planning on any big races. In the shape I'm in right now, I'm get destroyed in that race :-)

Hey Jake, I was referencing your 2013 race plans when mentioning the Manchester Road Race (not this year - next year).
