AM - 19 miles up to work. Holladay loop, then up the 4500S hill to Wasatch, along the bench to the zoo, then wound around campus for a while. This was actually my longest run since Boston.

Saucony sent me a new pair of the Ride 5 yesterday, so this was my first run in those. Really liked them! I've been wanting to add a more cushioned (but still light and neutral) shoe to my rotation... these are perfect. Just what I have been looking for. I think I'm going to have to order another pair soon because I'm going to be running in them a lot. Plus, the laces and upper glow in the dark! Not that I like bright, fluorescent colors or anything...

Andrea is picking me up after lunch and we're driving up to Jackson. We'll be there through Wednesday night. Tomorrow morning we're planning on running here (River Road)...

PM - 4 miles w/ Andrea to shake out the legs after the drive. Ran on the bike path along Moose-Wilson Road and then made a quick loop around Teton Village. This place is heaven.

Sweet run! And have a super fun vacay. It will be nice going to a cooler place for the weekend.

Great run before work, Jake. You must be shattered in the office. The new shoes sound great - just what I'm after. No joy in Ireland. Had to settle for the Asic Nimbus 14 (big bucks and they only last 5 weeks or so) and a pair of Asic Gel Hyperspeed 5's for tempos/efforts (good price). Enjoy the break and where you are planning to run tomorrow looks fantastic. Have fun.

Luckily its Friday and summertime (ie. most of our MDs are on vacation), so the clinic isn't very busy. And since I'm only working a half day, I'm surviving so far :-)

Cool place to run. I did win the Teton Dam marathon in Rexburg a few years back... just sayin:)

That's a cool place to run, Jake. By the way, my sister lives just on the other side of the Teton's in Victor, ID.

Nice....Where are you staying and is it reasonably priced?

From Andrea on Fri, Jul 20, 2012 at 21:13:50 from 184.167.8.115

We're staying at a condo in Teton Village - nothing here is "cheap", but I feel like its more than reasonably priced - I got a really good deal on the place. The owner is a triathlete and I started chatting her up about races, etc., and that helped us get a better deal :-)

I am envious Jake. Have never been but have heard some cool things about that area especially the rock climbing. Have fun:)
