AM - 9 miles up to work. Uphill efforts: 1 - 3/4 - 1/2 - 3 x 1/4 mile w/ 1/4 jog. Can't remember exactly what the splits were, but they weren't fast.

PM - 4.5 miles down to SHP + 8 x ~50m strides on the grass.

Going faster than 8 min pace is impressive uphill in my opinion. :) Nice work!

They were definitely sub 8, otherwise I think I'd have to call it a year and take a few weeks off :-)

I like what you're doing. Stick with it and it'll pay off. Keep a close eye on that hammy and don't do anything silly.

I think I saw you in the morning as I ran in the opposite direction on 17th, and I was going to yell something encouraging but you passed by too fast!!

Hey Susannah I thought I saw you as well, the problem is that my distance eyesight isn't too stellar, and I never realize who I run past until after I'm past them :-)

Bam - I'm kinda taking the rest of this fall in small chunks - trying out some different stimuli, hopefully it'll result in a couple good races and keep me fresh as well. I don't want to wear myself down. I'm also planning on finally taking a REAL break (ie. NO running) once I wrap up this racing season.

I do like the hill sprints... I was worried they might cause some achilles issues for me, but I think they actually do the opposite. I feel looser and springier afterwards.
