AM - 9 miles up to work. I did not expect it to be so "wintery" out there this morning. Wearing my trail shoes was a good choice for the slushy roads, but they didn't seem to help with the snow/ice pelting against my face the entire time. Ah well, unless we get 25 more days like this, no complaints. Its gonna be 70 degrees again this weekend :-)

PM - 4.3 miles down to SHP. Andrea picked me up. Back to nice warm weather!

Ut weather is completely bipolar. Good call on the trail shoes.

i suspect you already have a plan for tomorrow but if not, I am planning to run the 20 mile round trip up emigration from highland high starting at 7:30. Adam will join me at about 7:50 as I go by the zoo so he can get in about 15. if you do join I would require that you start with Adam. :)

I'm doing a shorter, faster-paced workout tomorrow. Probably mile repeats.

You guys gonna race the racers back down the canyon?

From Andrea on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:32:38 from 67.177.21.60

Fritz - we are planning to do a SLC Half run on Easter Sunday, if you are interested.

From Fritz on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:35:31 from 65.116.116.6

Definitely. Sunday brunch with the grandma is at 11 but I suspect you early risers will be done by then. Where and when will you start?

From Jake K on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:36:07 from 155.100.226.54

I will be dressed as either a giant rabbit or Jesus for that run, FYI.

From Kam on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:38:55 from 68.66.163.179

Go with the rabbit. It's less likely you'll be struck by lightning.

From Andrea on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:39:26 from 67.177.21.60

Not sure yet about details. Will let you know!

From Jake K on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 15:43:00 from 155.100.226.54

Yeah I'll shoot you an email tomorrow Fritz and let you know.

Kam I'm holding on to some of those shoes for you and will give them to you the next time I see you.

Hey Jake K, it's but 10 days till Boston. Is taper madness setting in?

From Jake K on Fri, Apr 06, 2012 at 18:03:04 from 67.177.21.60

Honestly Tom - no taper madness yet. I'm trying to keep my routine as normal as possible and not think about the race very much. Hay is in the barn, and there is no specific time pressure like there was in the fall. I'm feeling relaxed but excited. I'm sure once I get through my last 2 semi-harder workouts I'll start getting a little antsy, but those are the good kind of nerves :-)
