Very impressed with the self control this week Jake! This mornings weather was actually good to get used to what TOU is going to feel like. It takes the legs (for me at least) quite a bit longer to get going in colder temps.

Nice job. Can't wait to read all about your race on Saturday. I thought I was running it, but they can't find my registration form I sent with a money order back in July. Oh well.

From Jake K on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 13:04:52 from 155.100.226.191

Thanks Dale - I thought you were running St George?

Rachelle - Can you believe I'm not doing anything stupid this week? :-)

From DaleG on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 13:09:16 from 98.202.43.67

Yep, I'm running St George. I wanted to run/walk top of utah just to get a nice long training run. The last time I Did that, I got a PR at St George.

hats off to taper patrol. :)

From Jon on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:43:21 from 98.71.134.236

Good luck this weekend. Remember, the hill at mile 24.5 on main street isn't as big as it looks.

From Jake K on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:44:23 from 155.100.226.191

Thanks Jon. I've actually never even seen the last 4 miles of the course. Gonna have to drive it on the way up tomorrow.

From Jake K on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:45:49 from 155.100.226.191

allie - the taper patrol is already trying to get jurisdiction to be the REVERSE-TAPER / RECOVERY patrol! The battles I have to deal with are exhausting!! :-)

From Andrea on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:54:04 from 72.37.171.52

I decided to withdrawal my taper patrol from Wed-Sat so that I could have RECOVERY/reverse-taper patrol for at least 4 days!

From Jake K on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:57:09 from 155.100.226.191

Fair enough!!

From DaleG on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 14:57:40 from 66.87.126.87

I forgot about that hill near the end. Definitely not a good place for a hill.

From allie on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 15:00:27 from 161.38.218.168

LOL. my "i highly suggest you avoid running marathons right now" patrol is not working.

the hill isn't bad. really. especially if you have your cheering squad stationed there. it's like one of the less dramatic bumps in sugarhouse park.

From Jake K on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 15:01:16 from 155.100.226.191

That'll be a good spot for a flaming moose

From Andrea on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 15:22:31 from 72.37.244.100

Allie - I must be more controlling than you...I would've already called the cardiologist and made him say no marathons before the appointment :)

From JD on Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 15:45:56 from 70.96.78.142

are there really any BAD spots for a flaming moose?

good luck this weekend!

Good luck tomorrow, I have no doubt you're going to destroy it (in a good way)
