AM - 13.3 miles. JAJAK group run, easy pace, refreshing aerobic miles on a perfect cool morning. I split off and up to work after about 9 miles, then looped around up by HCI until it was time to go inside.
PM - 7.3 miles home, extra easy.

I talked to Dave and Logan this morning about running r2r2r in October and they are game but need to go on the last weekend. They both coach x-county and will have meets and state until then. Anyways that's the three of us in and most likely Steve H will come too.

Alright cool - I'm just going to mark it in my calendar for that weekend. We'll definitely have a couple other guys from up this way that will want to join as well. Andrea says she'll be the basecamp mom.

That is a lot of miles for a Wednesday morning Jake. Boys are so lucky. Without the 10 min addition of combing my hair each morning I could add at least 1 mile a day. :)

The longest part of getting ready for work is pulling on my compression socks. Everything else can be done in about 4 seconds.

Oh man, I had grand visions of being at the top of the leader board for 1/2 a day but you couldn't let that happen could you?

Ughh is it ever time to go inside?

Nice run out there today - the temps were perfect! A little jealous...except that I got to sleep in :)
about this R2R2R jaunt- wow. seriously? this is like one of my epic goals to someday complete! I've hiked R2R in a day once, but never attempted to go back...or run it. I want to go and do it SOOOO bad, but I think I need to give myself this year for this years goals and then move onward and upward later. Too much too soon may kill me, or make my husband divorce me :)

wow! the r2r2r! It's on my bucket list, and I will love to hear about the experience from someone else.
Nice mileage today; that's impressive!

Seriously, Jake? R2R2R? Nice!!! I'm going to slowly work my way up to doing some ultra's. One that I've always wanted to do is the Red Mountain 50k. That'll probably be my first attempt and then I'll try some 50 milers and maybe a 100 miler someday.

R2R2R- can I come?
From Superfly on Wed, May 23, 2012 at 20:08:53 from 74.211.21.81
Yes Jon you have to come. This will be a massive collection of crazy blog guys. It's a must so plan on it.

I'm guessing we'll easily have a group of about a dozen guys. Now that we're talking about this in May, I'm hoping this isn't one of those years where it starts dumping snow in October!
Jon - we'll just have Steve pick you up in his F-16 and you guys can parachute down to the trailhead. Easy breezy logistics.
