AM - 10 miles. Nothing hurts and I don't have any obvious structural weaknesses.

Here's a tip*: If your significant other goes to great lengths to help you with PT/rehab while you are recovering from an injury, don't use the "Bill Rodgers never had to do this crap!" argument to try and get out of it. You will not win the ensuing discussion.

*This is definitely not based on personal experience :-)

PM - 4 miles.

And something like that definitely didn't happen this morning in the middle of plank exercises :)

New thread on letsrun..."Krong's Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ha ha - there's nothing like the sight of a fledgling male fighting the inevitability of uxoriousness:)

Uxorious = new favorite word! Now where do I find such a feller :)

So this must have happened to a very close friend of yours, right?

Go Andrea!

Using my phone, I typed up a long comment about planks and then I lost my connection and it didn't post. Oh well.

Nice run.

What you were probably going to say was:

I looked though all of the logs on this site and never once saw the words "plank" or "core" :-)

"As masters, it is more important than ever to know a good physical therapist. Over the years, I've found physical therapists to be the most helpful both in the tools they use like ultrasound and in giving you drills and exercises to address the underlying issues."

From Jake K on Thu, May 02, 2013 at 13:56:34 from 67.177.11.154

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! That is heart breaking.

If you can beat my Bill Rodgers argument, then I have nothing left.

From SlowJoe on Thu, May 02, 2013 at 15:57:56 from 155.219.241.10

Ah, you're probably not the first couple to ever have the old Bill-Rodgers-will-get-me-out-of-PT-disagreement.

When the new doc heals Andrea, she'll be distracted with her own training - THEN you can cut corners.

From Andrea on Thu, May 02, 2013 at 16:05:05 from 72.37.171.52

Jake loves all the extra time I have to critique his training! He even told me a couple days ago - "I didn't have to do all this extra crap when you were training too". I know he meant it in a good way.

From SlowJoe on Thu, May 02, 2013 at 16:07:49 from 155.219.241.10

As a guy, I can confirm that we do all love to be critiqued in every aspect of life.

From Matt Poulsen on Sat, May 04, 2013 at 15:02:00 from 98.202.242.213

Great advice, Jake. I'll remember this, and I'll try not to pull out the "Bill Rogers" card any time soon :)
