Run on trails as much as I can.

Not get injured and stay consistent with my training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a 50 and 100 mile ultra.

Qualify for Boston... missed it by 8 seconds previously

Run one of those rediculously aided Utah half-marathons helter skelter down a canyon and get a PR.

Personal:

Married with three boys. Ran the Odgen Marathon in honor of my mother, a marathoner, who passed away from cancer and it just had continued from there. Grew up in a running family and have fallen in love with running, especially on trails.

Ran up the canyon to Monrovian Park with the dog. Good effort without overdoing anything. I was thinking about running our work 5k in Gunnison, but with how my legs felt this morning I probably would have pulled something with the effort.  AP 8:24, 1308 ft elevation gain during the first 3 miles

Easy cheesy recovery run around the hood, love running around the farm fields exploring different roads close to home. No rain this morning, I was glad, had the treadmill clothes sitting next to my outside gear, looked outside and away I went...AP 8:36

Did the "Richard" loop from the house this morning. Wanted to hit the trails this morning, but it rained all day yesterday and last night and I'm sure the trail I was wanting to hit was a mess, so I did a semi-tempo run. Felt pretty good, had to fight the negative thoughts and I believe I need to train my mind to run fast again.  Felt pretty good, ended up with a negative split,  the loop is fairly flat with some rollers in there, only 138ft of elevation gain.  AP 7:17
