Went to Spin class last night and pedaled real easy just to flush the legs out & get the blood flowing through them ... felt good & it helped.

Ran 6 miles with a friend this morning at Suwanee Greenway, 9:00 AP, couple mile around 8:30, with a few walk breaks sprinkled in.  Legs felt good, actually better than they did at Mile 5 in my marathon, so I guess that is a good sign for my recovery.

Wow...so much for a week or two of recovery after a marathon. It's good to hear there are no residual problems/pains after the race :-)

IJR, I think 6 miles at 9/min pace still classifies as recovery, but I am feeling the effects of it! No real plan the next couple weeks other than running what my body gives me the green light to do ... But I am in 5k with Alex in 10 days, so I will try to be as sharp as I can for that! :)

where's the 5k on the 5th?

We are doing the 'What if' 5k in Dunwoody. I kinda wanted to do the ATC 10 miler at Stone Mtn, but Alex has had some shin splints creep up on him, so I do not want him doing anything longer than a 5k right now.

Not sure how much he will run this winter, as he just found out he made the 9th grade basketball team and is pretty excited about that ... But I will try to keep getting him out to the ATC events, so I can build up a supply of travel coffee mugs! Lol He does not turn 15 until next July, then winning his age group will get a little harder!
