No race today! Long story/short ... I was short on sleep, feeling an onset of a cold, and the race start temp was 40 degrees. It would not have been wise to run 13 miles fast under those conditions with stiff legs ... so I rolled over & went back to sleep. In the afternoon, I headed out to run some faster miles, being warmer, more rested and loosened up. Fast miles were really not what my legs were feeling, so I ran a 48 minute 10k pace with a short warmup & cooldown, this was about all I had in me. Time to taper!
