Back to trails at Buford dam for a beautiful fall day, 6.2 easy hard hilly miles. Those hills are hard even when you are moving slow ... 680' vert ... 1 hour.
Vertical Feet Climbed - 2011 Miles: 680.00

You bet those hills are hard, at any speed. Good job, and nice recovery.

Yeah there's no such thing as an easy hilly run, nice job.

Sounds like you're getting back in the grove. Here's a (probably dumb) question. When you say 680' vertical, does that mean the maximum from lowest to highest? Do you know how the difficulity of a course is measured...or maybe that's something thats not measured since it all evens out from start to finish...?

That is total elevation climbed, so on a loop course, there is the same amount of descent. Comparing courses is debatable, but typically flatter is faster, and net downhill is faster yet ... But I think most would agree that on a up & down course, the ups take more out of you than the down gives you!
