Well, it has been a while since I have done a long run, as I am not currently training for a marathon, but with 50 degree temps this morning I figured I better take advantage, as probbably wont see that again for at least 4 months!

I did not have a pace goal, just wanted a long run at comfortable pace.  Felt good & did not push hard at any point, was happy to see I was averaging a 7:38 pace at the 11 mile mark.  At that point however, I started to feel tightness in my left calf, so I stopped to do a little stretching & then switched gears from  gears from comfortable to slow, easy run for last 5.5.

I ran the bike course of an Irongirl triathlon at Lake Lanier that a friend of mine was running & encouraged the cycling ladies along while I ran, which really helped to pass the time!

Nice run. Sounds like a cool course.

Thanks Matt, it was fun to run a new course and definitely helped to be around competing athletes on a long run, I tend to struggle with getting those in!

Good luck with taper & setting Ogden on fire ... wish I was going to make it, but sometimes I forget about the expense when signing up for such things clear across the country! lol Another year!!

We had the same thoughts about squeezing in a nice run while the temps were good. Goodbye spring, hello summer.

Ah... I think you just slowed down so I could catch up with you at the 16 mile mark :) Funny I ran about the same distance, I was really undecided until Sunday morning.

That is funny, but I think you blew by me, as my run took about 5 minutes longer! I see now that I have to run at least 6 tonight to stay a step ahead of you on the mileage board! lol I get to run on grass tonight around the soccer fields at my sons practice ... always good for recovery after a long run!

Hey JG,

What are you running tomorrow? It might make a difference in what I run. Actually I have no idea what I'm going to run tomorrow... :)
