Easy 4 along river @ 8:30 pace, calves still hurting.

PM - 9:00 ... still 92 degrees ... Rode an easy 5 miles along river on bike to loosen legs, running on section of Appalachian trail in morning.

Glad you're back running. Is the calf thing typical from a down hill course? I've never had any calf soreness...maybe I'm only using half my legs to run? :-)

Tim - Yes, that was me, now I just have to keep getting faster so I can get closer to being in the same league as the rest rest of you! But that was my primary goal in my last race!

IJR - They say downhill pounds the quads, but it seems to have effected my calves more this time. The faster I run the more I tend to run on the balls of my feet, and that is the cause I think ... as I was running fast for me the whole 13 miles.
