Nice progression, and a really strong finish. Looks like a warm, moist Georgia morning!

Believe it or not, I am still in PA, it has been hotter than Georgia here ... hit 103 on Thursday ... on the bright side, there is a nice flat path along the river, which does not exist in Georgia ... so that makes it a little easier. I am flying Alex back tomorrow, but will probably stay here another 2 weeks, as if my mom is well enough, she will start 5 consecutive days of treatment for her recent Leukemia diagnosis tomorrow ... she has been feeling better & getting some strength back the last few days!

Ah, didn't realize you were still there...crazy that it's that hot up north. Good luck in PA and best wishes to your mom and family.

Nice job on the run, you will build back up quickly! Hope mom keeps feeling stronger is does well with the treatments.

JG,

What is your Mom's name (hope you don't mind me asking)? I would like to pray a good response to the treatments and a quick recovery.

With the results of your past race, I'm thinking you shouldn't run at all until your marathon. No telling how fast you would run it!!!

Joe, Thx - I think it is hot everywhere! I appreciate your well wishes!

Dan, I think I can get there running twice a day, until it cools down. After battling pneumonia & stomach issues, we are hoping the Dr gives ok to start treatments today, was supposed to be last Monday. Perhaps the week delay was a blessing, as the treatments can wipe you out, and she has been feeling progressively better the last week, and it was nice for her to spend some time with Alex while not undergoing treatments!

IJR - it is just the week or two before a race I don't run ... lol ... my improvements come from higher mileage in between. Perhaps this time I can hit a couple 60 mile weeks ... I am sure they would pay dividends. I appreciate your prayers, my mom's name is Barbara. There is no cure, but hopefully treatments will restore her blood counts & energy, so she can lead a life of normalcy for 3 weeks per month! Treatments are 5 days long & will have to continue monthly, hopefully her body will be responsive to them!
