Personal:

My mother forced me to start running as a freshman in high school.. and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually ended up liking it. Graduated from Pine View High School in 2013 and, after a yearlong hiatus, I am now running again, this time for USU, where I'm working on a composite Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed major.

Ran with my mom today cause *sigh* I started working at the golf course. And it sucks. Or more accurately, I suck. My hands are covered in blisters, there is an 11 inch scar thing running down my leg, and a large patch of fairway missing from hole #17. The run was good though! We did it in the evening, cause my mom decided 5:10 in the morning would be an excellent time to bail on me. But it was nice and cool. My mom couldn't quite keep up with me though.. Ah well. She'll improve with time, I'm sure.

I know, we aren't supposed to run 5 yet. I blame my father. My mom and I started the run at my cousins house in Enoch and my dad was supposed to come pick us up on his way home. Well.. he forgot something at their house and had to go back and get it.. meanwhile, my mother and I made it all the way to Cedar City. Well.. actually, I made it all the way to Cedar City, then turned around and ran back to find my mom. She was a half mile behind me, and somehow I managed to get to her right as my dad did. So we all hopped in the car and drove away. But I guess the extra mileage can help make up for not running yesterday (sorry, Coach, it was my brother's 8th birthday! That's a good excuse, right?)
