Am: easy three.. with frida and kaelie!! Eight girls. That's our high for the season. Pm: holy smokes, you guys. I'm dead. Today's workout was prolly a little easier than the usual repeats, which I am very grateful for, but it was so hot! Today we did a workout to work on finishing races faster. So I had 4x800, and my first lap was supposed to be a 1:30 then my second was supposed to be a 1:26. So 800s at 2:56, which really isn't bad at all. The first two I ran the first lap with stoner cause we were both supposed to hit 1:30.. but we got sick of waiting for the 1200 girls so I got my own watch. I learned that it's hard for me to hit a 1:30 first lap.. it feels really slow. But I need to work on it, because when I run the first lap too fast, I don't run the next lap fast enough. The workout was mostly good. I mostly ran the second lap faster (except the first one.. stoner and I got a little anxious on the first lap and ran a 1:24) then we had 2x300 f pace. These are pretty much what killed me. The first one felt good.. we started after Michael and Casey ran by on their 1600s, and I made it my goal to pass Michael before the end. I got him (with like 10 meters to spare) and ended up at a :49.. so that was good. My first time under 50 seconds. The next one felt awful.. I was so tired and my muscles felt sooo tight. But I ran another :49.. I think once I run one of them, my legs just stay the same for the next one, cause I always hit the same time twice. Then we cooled down to harts, and camped out there for like 10 minutes cause we were all dead. I seriously was having a hard time walking because my hamstrings were so tight. Weights after. The end! |
