Sub 2:19:00 marathon Personal: I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday. Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.
I am also the proud daddy of five little ones. I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running. |

| I ended up rubbing my foot, shin, and calf down really well yesterday afternoon, and my foot felt much better yesterday evening, and for most of today. I am wondering now if the problem is not only rooted in the lateral side of my calf, but also in the stabilizing muscles in my shins, and if I really just have a minor case of tendinitis. | Add Comment |

| Another long run today. I ran a few 800's with Sasha in about 5:20/mile pace on average. Later on, I ran a 1800, and a 2000 in 6:04 and 6:47. The 2000 went under a few tunnels, and curved around a lot so I think that even though the pace was slower, the effort and performance was really about the same. I was not trying to really push the pace on these repeats, I was just trying to maintain a comfortable effort and go as fast as possible while working as little as possible. |
