Sub 2:19:00 marathon Personal: I used to run competitively, and maybe I will do so again someday. Right now I am primarily running to try and get in better shape, and to maintain both physical and emotional health, but also for the simple joy that comes when I run.
I am also the proud daddy of five little ones. I love the opportunity that I have to be a daddy, and my challenge is to balance my family responsibilities with work and running. |

I ran with Sasha and Ted in the morning and I felt pretty good. My hips weren't acting up at all, and my knee wasn't bothering me either, so I felt pretty good about things. I did feel really tired later on in the day, so I think that I need to make sure I sleep lots as I slowly get back into shape again.

| I just went out for a short run in the afternoon. I kept the pace nice and slow. Nothing eventful happened. | Add Comment |

| I could have run today, but I decided to take the day off as I am slowly getting back into shape. I plan on running every day for the rest of the week and hopefully starting next week I will be feeling in shape enough to run every day without getting myself hurt. I have had way more aches and pains then I anticipated coming back from the stress fracture. | Add Comment |

| I felt good this morning. At the start of our run it was only 3 degrees at the airport, so I can't say that it was very comfortable but thats how life in Utah is in mid January. I didn't get very much sleep last night so I was pretty tired but the run itself was not bad. My hips did feel a little tight which means that I probably need to make sure that they are staying in alignment. | Add Comment |

| I was going to run 10 miles but I decided to do 9 instead because I figured that 35 would be a nice round number for the week. I started out pretty slow but I picked up the pace over time and I finished in about 1:02:30 | Add Comment |
