Easy run today. Calf feeling just a little bit tight before the run, but I massaged it, and during the run it felt fine. I tested out running with long socks on, as the extra support on the calf seems to help (not sure if this is reality, but it seems to help). Later on in the run I ran 1 mile hard in the low 5:00 range to test out the calf, and also to practice running relaxed, as I think that part of why my calf muscles tend to lock up on me is because I am too tense when I run. If I can run relaxed I think that long term I will have less issues in the lower leg. |
