WBR - 2nd place high school division, 9th overall. 21:30:09. Short-Term Running Goals: Varsity Cross Country (don't want to erase it yet).
Break 5:00 in the mile. (Probably a long term goal now) Long-Term Running Goals: Be a runner after high school and a church misson.
Personal: Pine View High School class of 2008! (just graduated May 23). I became a runner my sophmore year when I started Cross Country and I have been running ever since. Ran XC and Track 3 straight years. I love road races and all that cool stuff.
I'm going to serve an LDS mission in Tallahassee Florida, August 13, speaking spanish.
August 2010- Just got back! Mission was great. I ran a little, maybe a total of 25 miles the whole 2 years. haha.
We'll see when I hit the streets again. |

WBR practice. Decker, Steve O, and Monty really pushed me today. I was pretty tired from the races this weekend but I kept up with them and had a good run. My knee is still a little sore, I have been icing it and it's feeling a lot better.

Went to XC practice today. We ran to the bank on the back road and then ran back on the other road. I ran with the guys from yesterday until the turn around and then I couldn't keep up. My mile splits have been starting fast but slowing down, I'll work on that. r Knee still feels sore but better, I'll keep iceing it. Hip/hamstring was a little sore yesterday but fine today. Good run.

Woke up and ran this morning by myself. I can't go to WBR practice tonight because I am going to the temple. It will be my first time, I'm nervous and excited about it.
Did the interval workout run fast 1 minute and jog 1 minute. Ran .30 to Panorama and did the first half there, then went to the park, then around my house to finish. Then ran another .30 cool down. Knee still the same. Good workout.

Wasatch! I was in van 1 with Coach Ross Decker, Josh Decker, Aaron Montague, (then me), Steve Ott, Tyler from Bingham, and Alex Baker. Van 2 driven by Greg Smith included Danny Gillespie, Dyllen Cafferty, Austin Smith, Corey Kimsey, Trevor Thompson, and Danny Gillespie (injured). We left in the morning and got to the starting line to run at 5. We started out with the big guns, both FRB teams and BYU.
Leg 3 I started my first leg at about 6:30. I was excited to run and I think I started out to fast. It was still a little hot. I got so tired and died the last part of the run. Coach D. ran with me for the last 2 miles or so. That was a hard run. Excited to be into the race.

Leg 15 Started this leg a little after 1 am. I ate a gu and it made my stomach kind of sick. I started out very good feeling great. It was fun running through a little residential area passing sighns cheering on the relay in front of houses. It was the middle of the night and very cool temps, awesome. My knee started acting up probably halfway through the run. My knee and feeling like I was going to through up slowed me down. I tried to push through it. The last 1/2 mile or more I was really kicking it in! This leg ended up being longer and the exchange was really confusing but I made it.
Then we got to sleep. I don't know how long but it felt like I slept for a long time.

Leg 27 Started about a quarter to 9am. My run left Kamas and went through Francis. My Moms side of the family is from there. My ancestor were with me! Decker also helped with his pep talk. He told me to have no regrets, it was pretty much my last big run/race before I leave. So with those two things I ran one of the best runs ever! I just pushed myself the whole time, I passed a ton of people and that was pretty fun, it was just great. Coach D. joined me for the last part of the run. So I finished with the best of my 3 legs, feeling tired but awesome. Nice!

Finish So our Pine View team ended up with 10th place over all, out of what, like 600 or something! We also got 2nd to Davis in the high school division by about an hour. It was so sweet!!!! It was my second year and I am graduated, but I am so glad that I got to go. Congrats to the FRB teams and everyone else. Congrats to the PV Co-ed team. WBR 2008!!
