Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

7 miles with Moxie on a cool morning in 53 minutes. (TSD5)

We got busy cleaning the garage and doing yardwork so we didn't make it to the hill, so I ran 4 more easy miles in 29 minutes along Sunnyside before heading to my parent's house for dinner.  Spent some time throwing the softball with the kids too...a good productive day! (Launch)

7 slow easy miles with Moxie early on a beautiful morning for a run.  (TSD5)

This could be a lighter mileage week due to a busy work schedule and no lunch runs today, Tuesday or Wednesday, but I will try to make it up through the weekend.

Pouring rain outside so I headed to the gym.  7 miles in 43 minutes, 1 mile easy then 6 miles progressing from 6:18 to 5:36 pace over the run.  I was tired as I didn't sleep well last night so I stopped at 7 miles so I could get home and be ready to get to work early for a long day.

7.4 easy miles outside between storms in about 57 minutes.  Ran 2.5 miles to meet Curt, ran about 4 miles with him having some good conversation, then about 1 mile back home.

Another busy day at work so this is my only run for today...working or with customers from 6am to 9:30pm. Good meetings, just stressful and will be happy when this week is done.

Raining outside so I headed to the gym.  1 miles easy, 9 mile progression (6:18 - 5:00 pace) for 10 miles in 61:32 (6:09 average pace).  Really tired after the last 3 days of work...good meetings but mentally exhausted.  (Launch)

7.5 miles easy this morning with Moxie in 1:00:30.  Still tired from the long week and it was cold outside (35 degrees and a good breeze) so I nearly went to the gym.   I figured Moxie needed the work, I didn't want to waste the 20 minutes back and forth and felt I just needed to man-up and face the elements.  A good easy run in the end.  (TSD5)

5 miles in 37 minutes on a very windy and blustery day after getting off work early.  (Tangent 1)

15 miles in 1:50:00 on a very windy and cool morning.  The run started off really good and I was running easy at a comfortable 6:30ish pace doing a stretch down Sunnyside and into SRL for some loops on the rolling hills.  But the wind picked up and I was fighting a 30mph headwind going uphill most of the second half of the run and it eventually took my oomph away.  Ran for a bit with the group, but they were running too slow for me today so I ran nearly all of it solo.
