Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

7M on the TM this morning, 5M at easy pace (6:40ish) and 2M at MP between 5:45-6:22 pace.  Overall felt good, just getting tired of the TM!   It is too darn slick outside to get in any decent speed work so I have been inside.  Hoping the combination of warmth and lower altitude and just being outside to run will make this weekend's race come off well.  I ran 2:39 last year in Phoenix off of similar training at slightly higher altitude so hopefully I can beat that time.

I know you can beat that time, because you have a good understanding of the course. You'll have a good strategy going into this race and know where to turn it on and get into a good pace.

I hear you about running outside. I've been stupid the last two days doing it and have really hurt my body falling. Your smart by going to the gym which I may do as well if I can get going in the mornings, and get there in enough time to do a decent run before work. I get up to late and don't have enough time to drive to the gym and do a decent run. But I need to change that.

Sorry about your falls, man it is slick out there! Take care of yourself. Getting up early in the morning is tough, especially if you have late nights like you often do!

Sounds like the break and refocusing is what you need mentally, physically and spiritually. I am wondering if I am pushing those limits as well. I will get through this race and prep for Boston then see where the rest of the year takes me and revise my goals.

Thanks for the supportive comment on the race, I will try to run hard and just have fun since this is what the vacation in WDW is about.
