Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Nice easy 4.5M run early on a nice morning.  Had to hold myself to this, wanted to run more...will do a MP run at lunch today.  (T3)

Went out at lunch for a goal MP run.  When I started I knew it was going to be tough because I had intestinal issues right from the start and a consistent wind of about 20mph.  Made it to 1.5M and had to hit the restroom...helped but insides were still topsy-turvy for the remainder of the run.  End up with 5M at 30 minutes exactly, with mile 5 being my fastest at 5:55.  0.5M cool down at 6:35ish pace, hitting the total in 33:20 (avg. 6:04).  Not bad considering my stomach issues.
