Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

It was cold and windy out this morning, so I opted for the TM at the gym to do some hill work.  9M in 56:20 varying incline between 2% (base incline) and 6.5%.  Varied pace between 6:44 (w/u) and 5:36 (0.5M), averaging 6:25 for the run.  Overall felt really good and the pace and incline were pretty easy this morning.  (Stratos 3)

3.1M around Freeman Park at lunch in very cold and very windy.  Nice easy 7:00 pace, left achilles a bit of a twing but not bad...will watch it.  (T2)

Jeff, It always amazes me the weather difference between you and me. Not to rub it in but this morning when I checked the weather before heading out I saw 20F and though oh my that is cold. Then I looked up north on the map and say your single digit temps and then I saw the nearly 20 in of snow that Jon had to deal with this morning and it made the run all that more desirable :)...

Did you guys get any snow? I'm stuck indoors all week now.

Great work on the hills. Just have to hold things together for another 3-4 weeks depending on your taper.

Maintaining that kinda pace while running uphill is beyond impressive. HB Hill is gonna be like a speed bump for ya.

Wow, lots of snow, Jon? None here, just big time wind and cold temps.

Did I miss March through November of 2009 or what! I am pretty sure it was December when I got up this morning.

From Jon on Tue, Mar 10, 2009 at 14:52:37 from 138.64.2.78

Yeah, we got about 20 inches in 18 hours. Quite fun.
