Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Drove up to Waterton canyon with the ladies and I did my run while they walked.  6 miles up (to about 5900 feet) in just over 7 minute pace into a stiff morning canyon wind, a pretty tough workout.  Turned around and ran back down at just over 6 minute pace for a total of 12 miles in 1:20.  (Ride)

We got back just in time to hook up with the families and get off to the soccer game this morning.  Now for a day of fun with the families in the beautiful weather!  Maybe a short run later today and getting prepped for the 20 miler in Waterton Canyon tomorrow morning.

After a day with the family and helping put together some Legos, went out for a short 4.25 mile on the pathways through the Village in 30:45.  Nice and easy, now ready for grillin' and beers!  Oh, and two bottles of "Las Rojas" wine too!

Sounds like you're having a good time there, glad to hear it. Soak up that new running terrain because when you get back it's back to Sunnyside:)

Sounds like you are having a great time there, I have family in Boulder and they talk about all the great trails around there.

Sunnyside?? I thought Bone was the new route? Enjoy the great terrain I've been wanting a good trail run lately.

Craig, Bone is a great route, but Marlin is talking about being back on our normal borning morning Sunnyside run. I really want to move here for the running!

So I got that I was just having fun. Maybe when you get back we could take the more scenic SRL route to highway 20 and enjoy the scenery or you could come my way and we could look at spud fields not to mention goats and other animals that might want to follow us. hahahahahahaha have fun.

Sorry Marlin, you are right.

Craig, anything to get off the normal route!

Have a great weekend guys!
