Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

8M on the TM at the gym, same format as yesterday.  2M easier pace (6:30) then the remainder at MP (6:18 - 5:50 pace).  Had a hard time getting motivated and started today, lower back bit stiff but loosened up during the run and I ended up going 1M longer than planned when I started. 

total time:  50:00  (Trigon - 427 miles)

5.4M run around the river at lunch in warmer weather, but the pathway is still a mix of dry and very slick.   Overall a good run to end the work week.

total time:  36:40  (Saucony T3 - 439 miles)

Just curious- what is the slowest pace you ever do on a run?

When I am back outside in the mornings (or even at lunch outside nowadays on the slick path) I usually just take it easy and run about a 7:15-7:30 pace.

Right now, if I have to be on the dang TM, I want to get it over with sooner than later and try to make the effort worthwhile.

Jeff, I feel the same way on a treadmill.

You do want to run at a faster pace to get done sooner, because it's so hard to run in place for a long duration. The 20 miles I did on my home treadmill a couple weeks ago for my long run I wanted to go insane.

Keep up the great workouts and run for me.
