Carolyn - yes, one half mile at a time. You know though, usually the barefoot segment comes towards the end of a run. If I have aches and pains during the run (which I do all the time), after some barefoot running, I put my shoes back on and my feet/legs feel much better. Seriously.

That's a good barefoot run! I have not been doing my barefoot running lately, because it doesn't fit into my training program. I can just imagine my coach's face if I showed up barefoot for a track workout! So instead, I've taken to just not wearing shoes at other times. Whenever possible, even when out driving around on errands, I just ditch the shoes. I think it will help strengthen my feet some, and maybe in winter I'll have a treadmill day every week for barefoot running.
