"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

rfhtlpto&b  :-)

Left the house at 5:30 am to get the run in ahead of a storm forecast to come in this morning. Perfectly timed. Low to mid fifties, a headwind and spotty rain going out. A tailwind and continuous light drizzle coming back.

The first four miles or so were extremely slow, but then I had a good pace the rest of the run. Big negative split. This was one of those runs where I was enjoying myself during the run, felt strong and wanted to keep going but had to get home and get ready for work.

Predicting a decisive Obama win tonight...or mass corruption, confusion and a Supreme Court decider in two to three weeks.

"rfhtlpto&b :-)" What did I miss?

Chad-instead of writing out "Run from home to legacy park trailway out & back" I figure I'll just use an acronym: rfhtlpto&b...because I run this route almost everyday, in varying lengths, and typing "run from the house to legacy park trailway out & back" just takes too long, and saps all my energy. At times, I'll drive to the legacy park trailway, and run out & back from the parking lot instead of starting from my house. When I drive to legacy park trailway, I guess I'll have to use the acronym: dtlpto&bfpl, or, "drove to legacy park trailway out & back from parking lot". It's just too much typing for me to handle. :-)

I see. A stitch in time!

Sounds like a great run: happy times, negative split, good miles.
