"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Got out for an early lunch (10:30 AM) on the Bluff trail. Sun, 75F, light breeze.

Comparing todays run to yesterdays is like night and day; yesterday being nightmarish, today being all day-glo and happiness.

Got my 50 miles this week so I'm going to take a much needed day off tommorrow, which means only 5 days running this week (I took Sunday off also),  so I can rest, and so I can get back on my Sunday through Friday running schedule for the Summer.

See, I told you. Congrats on the day-glo and happiness.

And good job with the 50 miles. I've got like 5 miles this week.

Crap! I did it again! I wonder if I'm having a stroke!

You ran *your* first marathon...

Two posts now from English Major. I think he needs to get his own blog. Or maybe he could just try editing JD's posts.

James, i think its age, i used to be such a good speller and i was always great at punctuation, and now im horrible! I always blamed on the mom genes, but maybe its age.

Carolyn - I could just edit them...but it's so hard to do! Lol!

Lysa - it can't be age in your case, 'cause you're like, 18 or something.
