"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Early lunch run. Not early enough. I don't know what the temp was when I started, but it was 84 degrees when I got back.

I was going to run this morning but got woken up several times throughout the night. At 3:00 AM I was listening to the sound of a dog urinating on the wood floor in the kitchen...so I had to get up and clean that up. It's been a while since I last had to clean up dog urine in the house, I've really missed it.

wow, Scott wouldve totally pretended he was asleep and made me clean it up. aahhh the joy of puppies, or should i say, big giant new dogs..good job running in the heat of the day, do you bring water? or does your super-human strength not need water on a 9 1/2 mile run in 85* weather

Lysa - I sleep pretty light and it's generally my duty to take care of things in the middle of the night, letting the dogs out etc.

I meant to bring a water bottle with me but I spaced it. I was getting really thirsty the last couple of miles.

Just one more reason why I don't have dogs.

You must be getting acclimated to running in the heat. But take water next time, eh.

Wow- Elastoman! Snapping right back into running!

Edward (cat#3) is having diarrhea for the past 24 hours. Can I trade with you?

Lysa - you complete me. LOL!! Looking forward to running with you sometime. We should drag Scott along to show him what a workout really is.

Carolyn - Yeah, water. I used to be so prepared all the time. Running is turning me into a space cadet. I get so excited to get out on a run that I forget things...things like life sustaining water!

Snoqualmie - Hope Edward gets over his "runs" soon.

We're "Zep" people over here. Enzymes baby, yeah!
